Path 1 · Getting Started · Lesson 2 of 4

Your First Conversation With AI

You do not need computer language or a perfect script. Talking with AI is much more like talking with a helpful person.

Path 1 · Getting StartedLesson 2 of 4

Begin with what you want, in your own words. If the first answer misses the mark, keep the conversation going: add a detail, ask a follow-up question, or explain what you would like changed.

Simple requestA fine place to start
“Tell me about Yellowstone.”

AI can answer, but it knows very little about what would be useful to you.

More useful requestHelpful context included
“My wife and I want to visit Yellowstone for five days in September. We are driving and would like scenic places that don’t require long hikes. Help us plan the trip.”

Now AI knows who is going, when, how long, and what kind of trip would work best.

Make this request better

Start with “Help me plan a vacation.” Add whatever details you know. Watch how the request becomes more useful as you go.

Your improved request

Builds as you type
“Help me plan a vacation.”

It does not have to sound perfect. You can always add another detail after AI answers.
